Confused about which wet weather jacket to buy?
Although all of Burke's jackets are water resistant, our jackets are designed for different conditions and with that will have different waterproof and breathability ratings.
Waterproof:
A coating on the outside of the fabric (DWR) is one of the most important factors of a garment's waterproof efficiency. This causes the water to bead and to simply roll off your garment, instead of allowing it to seep into the fabric.
Breathability:
Comfort can be heavily dependent on the shell and breathability of the jacket. If you plan on being active while wearing your jacket, the most important thing is to stay dry whilst maintaining comfort. This means allowing our sweat to escape, whilst keeping moisture out.
